The challenges
The rapid retreat of Andean glaciers threatens water reserves essential for agriculture, drinking water, and energy.
Deforestation is causing soil erosion, biodiversity loss, and increased risk of landslides.
Women in rural communities face severl challenges and are often excluded from decision-making processes.
Our focus area is Calca, located aproximately 50 kilometers north of the city of Cusco. This area, rich in history and culture, has been populated mostly by Quechua people.
